LET US RISE!
Every Morning in Africa
A Gazelle wakes up
It knows it must outrun the fastest Lion, otherwise it will be killed
Every Morning in Africa,
A Lion wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle, otherwise it will starve to death
It does not matter if you are a Gazelle or a Lion
When the sun comes….you better start running
Epilogue- The great are only great because we are on our knees….Let us rise!
No change would ever come if people don’t struggle. Remember, Allah has decreed in Quran:
InnAllaha laa yoghayyiru maa bi Qawmin hattaa yoghayyiroo maa bi anfusihim [Ar-Ra'ad: 11].
Allah will not change what is in any nation, until they all collectively make a change occur in what is in themselves [ Ar-Ra'ad: 11)
This verse gives us a general rue that if we want to see a positive change in the affairs of the world (soical, political, legal, military ,educational , economic activities etc), we must have to make a collective effort.
It is all about feeling responsibility.
Allah says:
We have made you a moderate (justly balanced- middle way) Ummah (nation-community) so that you may testify against mankind and that your own Rasool (prophet) may testify against you. (Sura 2-Al-Baqara verse # 14)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"All of you are shepherds, and each one is responsible for his flock.
A leader of people is a shepherd and responsible for them.
A man is like a shepherd over his family, and he is responsible for his flock.
A woman is like a shepherd over her husband’s house and children, and she is responsible for them.
And a slave is a guardian of his master’s property and is responsible for it.
So all of you are guardians and are responsible for your charges."(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Conclusion:
The work of (Calling towards good and forbidding from evil) is the duty of every believer. Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:
You (the follower of Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam)) are the best of all nations who have been raised for (the benefit and salvation) of mankind. You command what is right, forbid from evil and believe in Allah. (Al-Imraan 110)
Allah (swt) Taãla states that one reason for this Ummah (people) being titled as the best of Ummahs, is the practice of 'commanding good and preventing evil'.
Now you can understand well that it is the responsibility of every believer to do the noble work that our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) had done for 23 years transforming the Arab Peninsula from evil and vice to humility, modesty & simplicity.
Read and pass on to others
Good Luck
